JCL completed this significant bridge and drainage project in 2011 for Fingal County Council to significantly upgrade Mulhuddart’s infrastructure

Key Features

- 25m span bridge with piled abutments and structural steel beams, crossing the River Tolka

- Precast concrete permanent formwork with in situ concrete abutments and deck

- Significant pedestrian and vehicular traffic management designed and implemented by JCL

- Construction of 300m of new roadworks to tie in the new layout in the centre of Mullhuddart, including new footpaths, cycle lanes, utilities, public lighting and traffic signals

- Major drainage works including and extension to the 9C Sewer – 150m of 1650mm diameter concrete pipe installed at depths of up to 8m, with a river crossing and 4 major access chambers, constructed in pre-cast concrete 

- Major interface with Inland Fisheries Ireland
